Notes & Pairings
Extremely limited for good reason, this was one of those we have to have these moments in the cellar. It’s essentially three different fermentations using only the best of the best fruit spanning a few vintages. The foundation of the mother barrel is Grašac from 2019 blended with some Bakator from 2020. This was the first fermentation. Late harvest Furmint and Mézes Fehér were added to start the second fermentation in 2020. The third fermentation was started with must from Tamjanika in 2021. Everything was then aged in 500L until being bottled unfined and unfiltered by gravity. The triple extraction, botrytis, spice, incense heavy aromatics and acidic drive are all balanced by built in oxidative notes and grip. The energy of this wine is uncanny and both stand out from the rest of Oszkár’s lineup while immediately being a Maurer wine at the same time.
