2018 Bott Bott-rytis
Notes & Pairings
The name “Bott-rytis” is a playful take of the wine maker’s family name Bott and the technical wine term “botrytis” or noble rot. The fruit comes from Bott’s prized Csontos and Határi vineyards along the volcanic slopes of Erdobeny. The bulk is Furmint with just enough Yellow Muscat to add dimension. After pressing with their traditional Hungarian wine press the juice was aged in 1 to 3 year old barrels where it spent 7 months fermenting
