This is 100% Furmint from the super rhyolite heavy and rocky Kővágó (aka Stonecutter) vineyard. Mentioned as far back as 1349 in the village of Tállya, it’s also one of her coldest sites. The fruit ripens later while maintaining remarkable acidity and even though there’s just a few grams of RS, there’s a sweetness to the fruit. Fermented in tank, zero dosage, 3 years on the lees, and just disgorged once before making its way to us.
