Notes & Pairings

The FKT line is Gábor and his wife Zsófi experimenting with newer planting, new barrels, and making something uniquely their own in concert with making the traditional line under the Fekete Béla label. 2024 was a hot and early vintage, so the fruit came in at the end of August. Spontaneous fermentation in 1000L Hungarian oak followed by just 3 months in 500L oak and 4 months resting in tank. Close to zero botrytis character, it’s super fresh without any oxidative notes, aromatic, still carries the Somló signature, and with just a little RS to balance the acidity makes it incredibly drinkable. A perfect intro into this rich volcanic appellation.
