Notes & Pairings
Much like his Furmint is a lens into the region because there are other Furmints as points of reference (as compared to Mézes Fehér, Kövidinka, Kadarka etc…), so is this for a red. My suspicion is that Oszkár wants to prove the pungency of the Fruška Gora as a special place with an internationally known variety. Open vat fermented and all barrel, it’s not shy at just over 14%, has some grip, but also carries the lifted aromatics and balance characteristics of all his wines. He made very little of it and it’s delicious.
